Mark Norris moved
from Andrews to the Cross Plains area in 1970.
He graduated from Cross Plains High School in 1974. Since then Mark has
been employed in several areas of occupation. Everywhere Mark has been
a part of the team, fellow employees and employers alike have spoken
very highly of Mark's work ethic, dedication and loyalty. As a part of
the City of Cross Plains' work force Mark served and was recognized many
times for his many selfless attributes. Serving a tenure of 16 years as
the City's Water Superintendent he was able to implement many of the
progressive changes the City was striving to accomplish in it's goal of
serving the citizens of Cross Plains. Even when Mark was "off the clock"
many citizens will testify to Mark's generosity in lending a hand to help
a friend in need. When Mark left the City in September 2006 to pursue
other avenues, he was honored by the Masons with their prestigious
"Citizen of the Year" award.
As Vice-President of KLH Oil & Gas, President of
CPMAK, and owner of Park Car Wash, Mark understands the making of a
successful business and brings this expertise to the Cross Plains Planning
Committee. Cross Plains is very fortunate to have Mark Norris as one of
its leading citizens.
Mark has three children - Aaron, Jesse, and Ian.
Mark and his wife Rachelle are viable members of the community they
have grown to love and call home. Mark and Rachelle attend River of Life
church in Eastland, Texas where Mark serves as Chairman of the finance
committee.
Mark's hobbies include fishing and debating with
his friends in round-table discussions. Mark also loves Bible study and
sharing his witness.
Mark has the availability of email but prefers face
to face discussions.
